2011 Itinerary

The dates for the 2011 Island Peak Expediton are Friday 1st April to either Thursday 21st (3 week trip) or Thursday 28th (4 week trip) April.

The itinerary details a sample outline of the schedule and can be tweeked and modified to suit individual availability. Within reason a bespoke schedule can be catered for depending on numbers - please ask and we can develop an individual itinerary accordingly.

1st April – Arrive KTM & transfer to 4* hotel
2nd April – Sightseeing tour. Afternoon free
3rd April – Fly KTM to Lukla. Trek to Phak Ding or Monjo
4th April – Trek to Namche Bazaar and on to Kyanjuma
5th April – Rest day. Trek to Everest View Hotel. Visit Khumjung. Return to sleep at Kyanjuma
6th April – Trek to Dole
7th April – Trek to Machermo
8th April – Trek to Gokyo
9th April – Rest day. Ascend Gokyo Ri for Everest sunset. Return to Gokyo
10th April – Descend to Tagnag
11th April – Trek over the Cho La. Sleep Dzongla
12th April – Descend to Dingboche
13th April – Trek to Chukkung
14th April – Trek to Island Peak Base Camp
15th April – Ascend Island Peak
16th April – Spare day
17th April – Trek to Pangboche
18th April – Trek to Namche bazaar
19th April – Trek to Lukla
20th April – Fly KTM
21st April – Depart KTM
