Everest Base Camp Charity Trek 2007

Unfortunately due to not enough enquiries and other work commitments this trip will not now be going ahead.


Trek in the Everest region of Nepal along the Khumbu trail. Tread in the
footsteps of Hillary and Tenzing as you make your way amongst
awesome mountain scenery to EBC.

This trip not only takes in the sights and sounds of Kathmandu but also the historic trading post of Namche Bazaar and the world famous monastery at Tengboche.

This 17 day itinerary is perfect for your Easter holidays
Scheduled dates Friday 30th March— Sunday 15th April 2007

Day 1 - Depart UK.
Day 2 - Arrive Kathmandu (KTM).
Day 3 - Fly to Lukla (2800m). An easy walk leads down to Phak Ding (2650m) where you will stay for your first night in a Nepalese Teahouse.
Day 4 - Trek to Namche Bazaar (3450m).
Day 5 - Trek to the ‘Everest View Hotel’ where you will see the fantastic panorama which includes Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. Descend and sleep at Kyanjuma (3,600m).
Day 6 - Trek to Pangboche (3985m) visiting Tengboche monastery en route.
Day 7 - Trek to Dingboche (4350m).
Day 8 - Rest day. Trek in the local area and acclimatise. 2nd night at Dingboche.
Day 9 - Trek to Lobuche (4,910m).
Day 10 - Trek to Gorak Shep (5,100m) and ascend Kala Pattar for views of Everest at sunset.
Day 11 - Trek to Everest Base Camp and return to Gorak Shep.
Day 12 - Trek to Pangboche
Day 13 - Trek to Namche Bazaar and continue down to Monjo.
Day 14 - Trek to Lukla.
Day 15 - Fly to KTM early morning. Free time / sightseeing in the afternoon.
Day 16 - Last minute shopping. Depart KTM early evening.
Day 17 - Arrive LHR early morning.

This event is being organised and run by Everest Summiteer Tim Mosedale on behalf of Low Mill Young People’s Centre (Registered Charity 504697).

This all inclusive KTM to KTM trip costs only £1,800*.

For every person attending £500 will be donated to Low Mill. Any extra money that you raise can go to Low Mill or a charity of your choice.

No previous experience is required. Trails are better than Lakeland footpaths.
