Expedition feedback from previous Ama Dablam clients

"I've just returned from a successful raid on Ama Dablam with Tim Mosedale. I cannot recommend him highly enough - he blends together comprehensive technical knowledge with awesome organisational skills and a sense of humour.

The trip was brilliant from beginning to end. We acclimatised properly, the resources provided by Tim were excellent (right down to stashes of olives and cashew nuts in the mess tent), the team of sherpas were incredibly supportive to individual climbers and everyone else that Tim had involved - sirdar, cook, porters, liaison in Kathmadu - was skilled and motivated.

Above all, the climbing felt under control and, as far as it can be on that terrain, very safe. Under Tim's leadership, the strangers who met each other for the first time at the beginning of the trip gelled together into an effective and supportive unit, the majority of whom got to the summit. Moreover, we all had fun! What more could you want?"

I summitted Ama Dablam with Tim in 2003. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or an expedition of his. He works with rigour, vigour and extremely good humour. Trip felt in control at all times in terms of both climbing and general organisation.

So there you have it. No matter what other brochures may say you don't necessarily know who the leader is going to be for your trip. All the great comments could be about a previous leader and you find that you are on a trip with a complete novice to the mountain. That's not to say that they won't run a great trip - but at least with me what you see is what you get.

The choice is yours but all these people (and others) can't be wrong can they?
