I summitted Ama Dablam with Tim in 2003. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or an expedition of his. He works with rigour, vigour and extremely good humour. Trip felt in control at all times in terms of both climbing and general organisation.
5 stars.
Have a good time on the trip! - R.Bull

CLIMB AMA DABLAM 2008
4 week climbing itinerary

(From only £2500 Ex Kathmandu)

The 6th Ama Dablam Expedition Professionally Led
& Organised by Everest Summiteer Tim Mosedale

X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X

Please note - I already have bookings so this trip is definitely taking place.

Ama Dablam is, without a doubt, one of the most stunning mountains in the world. The maps report Ama Dablam as being anything from 6812m to 6856m - but one thing for sure is that it is over 22,000 feet.

It commands the Everest region and is by far and away the most impressive peak along the Khumbu trail. People who trek in the region will always come away with a few mountain names added to their vocabulary, and Ama Dablam will be one of them.

This trip not only takes in the sights and sounds of Kathmandu, but also the historic trading post of Namche Bazaar and the world famous monastery at Tengboche. What better way to acclimatise and get ourselves ready for the mountain of a lifetime?

This climbing itinerary is based on a 4 week Saturday to Sunday period.

1 Nov - Depart UK.
2 Nov - Arrive Kathmandu (KTM).
3 Nov - Sightseeing in KTM. Sort gear / final preparations for the expedition.
4 Nov - Fly to Lukla (2800m) and start trekking.
5 Nov - 25 Nov - Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp. Rest. Train. Climb. Party.
28 Nov - Fly to KTM. Sort gear. Sightseeing. Party again.
29 Nov - Sightseeing and last minute shopping in the morning. Depart KTM.
30 Nov - Arrive home.

What is it going to cost?

Despite a general increase in insurance costs, flights and agency fees I am keeping the trip at the same cost as last year (for the 4th year in a row). For a fully inclusive KTM - KTM trip the cost is only £2,950 (dropping to £2,500pp for a group of 12 or more)

The cost includes all meals and accommodation in KTM, all meals and accommodation for the trek in to Base Camp, a personal tent at Base Camp, all food at Base Camp and on the mountain, Lukla flights, Climbing Sherpas, Medical supplies, all necessary permits and paperwork etc etc.

If you want to make your own way in to the Khumbu and meet at Ama Dablam Base Camp, or if you want to just join the permit and are arranging all your own logistics, then please contact me so that I can give you a competitive quote.

Please don't just take my word for it that it's going to be a great trip. Check out the feedback from previous expedition members.

Please remember that these estimates do not include international flights (allow approx £950). I do not provide flights but have a contact with a local travel agency who have some seats 'held off' - if you require a flight I will gladly put you in touch with them.
